Ann Haugh, former Zurich Insurance global corporate UK chief executive, is taking on the newly created role of chief operating officer at insurance services provider Thomas Miller.
Effectively immediately, Haugh will be primarily in charge of organisational efficiency and the development of an operational infrastructure that is in line with the firm’s ambitious growth objectives in insurance services. The experienced global senior insurance executive brings with her more than 24 years of expertise in strategy, operations, and general management.
“The opportunity to join a growing business of the stature of Thomas Miller and to play a key role in the delivery of their corporate vision is an exciting one,” commented Haugh. “I am looking forward to being part of a progressive team that is focused on providing excellence within international insurance services.”
The key hire served as global chief operating officer, as well as president of international insurance, at Aspen Insurance Group. She was with Zurich Insurance before then.
“This is a significant, board level, appointment for Thomas Miller and we believe Ann’s experience will greatly enhance our operational efficiency,” said Thomas Miller chief executive Bruce Kesterton. “Her role will support our growth plans and focus on ensuring we have the right operational systems and processes to continue to provide the highest quality service for our members, brokers, and clients.”
