Former Zurich Insurance financial lines head Gail Cook has joined insurance broker Lockton, moving to Edinburgh to be part of the professional services team there.
Bringing with her three decades of industry experience, Cook will be responsible for client servicing and risk management. The Edinburgh team is within Lockton’s wider professions practice in the UK, and the new hire will be focused on the legal profession in Scotland.
“I am delighted to be working with Lockton,” commented Cook, who has held senior positions at Novae Insurance and Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance. “The professionalism and commitment shown to their clients is unrivalled, and I look forward to contributing fresh ideas and insight to further support and augment these relationships.”
The firm’s professional services unit not only works with 30 of the top 100 law firms in England and Wales but also administers the Master Policy for the Law Society of Scotland. In addition, Lockton caters to eight of the top 20 largest ranked engineering and construction firms.
“Gail brings a wealth of experience and expertise which will enrich our service proposition to our clients so helping drive their businesses, and ours, forward,” said Lockton Companies LLP partners Lorraine Boyle and Brian Boehmer in a joint comment.
Lockton, the world’s largest privately owned insurance brokerage, also acts for several industry associations including the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
