The client ofIntact Insurance will no longer receive a complete copy of their insurance contract by mail. The insurer now sends by post a document that explains to clients where to go to obtain a copy of their insurance contract.
Since 19 June, Intact simply sends its customers a simplified copy of the contract, which includes the letter to broker (where applicable), the payment notice, the summary of police as well as the pink card (applicable to the automobile insurance only).
How the insurer he explains this decision ? «We wanted to meet the expectations of consumers, for whom access to the Web has become commonplace. In addition, this allows us to reduce our ecological footprint, in line with our values rooted in social responsibility, » says Maude Savard Kokinski, senior advisor, external communications, Intact.
The insurer also feels that it enhances the customer experience by doing so. «We observe that shopping habits and expectations of customers are constantly changing. For them, digital is a channel of communication. We are aware that the broker is always the best ally of the client to the advisor. We continue to work in this direction «, said Ms. Savard-Kokinski.
This initiative has been established first in Quebec. The program will be rolled out in other provinces in canada by the fall.
