Sun Life global investments concluded the acquisition of all the outstanding units of the Excel Funds and investment Advisor to Excel, announced last September. This allows Sun Life to expand its wealth management activities in Canada by adding a range of emerging markets fund.

Bhim D. Asdhir, the former CEO of Excel Funds joins the executive team of Sun Life global Investments as head of business development, emerging markets. Excel funds manages assets of approximately $ 700 million ($M), bringing the total assets under management of Sun Life global Investments to more than $ 18 billion.
