The Authority launched its consultation on the draft amendment of the guideline

Thefinancial markets Authority has published for consultation the draft amendment of the guideline on the requirements for capital adequacy, which apply to property and casualty insurers holding a licence as an insurer in Québec and holding a charter of Québec or of another jurisdiction in Canada (insurance Act, RLRQ, c. A-32, item 325.0.1 and 325.0.2). The expected date of entry into effect of the revised guideline is January 1, 2018.

At the same time, the Authority has also published for consultation the draft amendment of the guideline on the requirements for capital adequacy, which applies to insurers licensed to transact insurance of persons in Quebec (insurance Act, RLRQ, c. A-32).

Interested persons to submit their comments are requested to provide no later than August 18, 2017. It is to be noted that the comments submitted will be made public in the absence of notice to the contrary.
