The canadian Council of regulators of insurance (CCIR) is in the process of development of guidelines clarifying the expectations of regulatory bodies on the exercise of insurance activities and the fair treatment of customers.

These directives will be aligned on the basic principles of insurance, explains the CCIR. It is of international standards developed by theinternational Association of insurance supervisors, it was updated last November.

Public Consultations in 2018

The draft guidelines, prepared in collaboration with the canadian organizations of applicable insurance, will be the subject of public consultations, which will take place in the second quarter of 2018, has also announced that the CCIR.
