The Co-operators is launching a program to control the rising costs of health

Retired Canadians must cope with rising costs in the areas of health and dental care, said Co-operators life insurance Company, and that is why the insurer is launching its program EnContinu GOLDEN.

The program allows participants in a group insurance plan who retire to obtain an individual insurance covering medical care, dental care, and emergency care while traveling. A request for a health insurance individual guaranteed and permanent, may be submitted within 60 days following the maturity of the group insurance of the participant.

«As they age, Canadians are facing the costs of health care increasingly important. Some items, such as prescription drugs or medical equipment, or home nursing care, dental care, and emergency care in the journey can be difficult to manage with a fixed income, » explains Connor Quinn, vice-president, group insurance at the Co-operators life insurance Company.

The plans provide coverage for prescription drugs, dental care, accident, care, emergency travel, home nursing care, medical supplies and prostheses, allied health services and hospital stays. Plans, extended also include vision care, dental care, and options that enhance the care of emergency travel.
